Brunch and a Bittersweet Weekend
Can you believe it's already the middle of February (Happy Valentine's Day by the way)?! Time is definitely flying here and so much has happened in the past two weeks. My internship is going so well! I've had the opportunity to continue to work on a variety of projects, with many being introduced today. I also experienced my first presentation to a client which went very well. I'm learning a great deal from my coworkers and my supervisor which I am so thankful for. I'm looking forward to continuing to expand my experience and knowledge here.
On February 2, Grayce and I went to the Chinese New Year Parade in Chinatown. This was an amazing experience filled with color and pride. Check out some of the images below!
The two plays we saw these past two weeks were Roe and How to Defend Yourself. Both involved some pretty heavy and controversial topics, all of which is still relevant in society today. Each play left me speechless and were awe inspiring. If you ever get the chance to see either of these shows, please do!!
This past weekend was very bittersweet. Grayce decided Chicago was not where she wanted to spend the rest of the semester, so she moved home to Pennsylvania on Saturday. This has already been an adjustment and we miss her quite a bit, but she is doing what's best for her and we're wishing her all of the best!
I can't believe we're almost halfway through the semester and so much has happened. I am thankful for and grateful to all the people I have met and for the amazing experiences thus far. Here's to the remainder of the semester!
Until next time,
P.S. Potbelly Sandwich Shop has some pretty incredible milkshakes if you ever get the chance to try one!
